Dan completed his design training at Sheffield College. While still a student, he won 2 awards: a Junior Advertising Award and a prestigious RSA Young Designer’s Award.

He consolidated his professional experience at Elmwood in Leeds where his first, considerable task was to design the company’s second book about its own work. While at Elmwood he also met his future partner Anil Solanki.

Dan’s father is Tony Forster, himself a highly acclaimed lettering artist, calligrapher and designer, and a lifelong creative influence on Forster Junior.

Dan says, “I'm open to everything creative regardless of the discipline. Creativity should be embraced from all areas of life and therefore all areas of design.”

Dan loves surfing and his favourite colour is orange.

Anil started his design career by landing an honours Degree in Graphic Design at De Montfort University Leicester.

Anil spent nearly 5 years at Elmwood in Leeds, where he worked on a range of key projects in identity, print, web, video and packaging. Here, his work won a Design Effectiveness award for ASDA own brand cereals.

More recently Anil led the internal design department at De Montfort University, Britain's fourth largest university. As well as managing the department, Anil also implemented a system to help university staff to get the most from their internal design resource.

Anil says, “I am passionate about the real-world difference design can make when implemented correctly, and most importantly, for the right reasons.”

Anil owns nearly 7000 records and his favourite colour is blue.
