Lunablu.com

Having produced literature for restaurant Lunablu, one of the facts we discovered was that although their food was well known, their location wasn't.

Lunablu is situated in an unusual area of Leicester, an area that is constantly changing but the majority of people in Leicester still aren't aware of this. They still regard the Braunstone Gate area to be run down with just a few pubs and a very well known fish and chip shop.

The area is now a melting pot of new modern restaurants and bars, the local student community is aware of this but Lunablu’s key market isn’t.

Apart from the problem of location, the building in which Lunablu is situated is spread across three floors. The top floor is home to the restaurant, the ground floor is home to the main bar and the basement is home to the tapas bar, which has a chill out zone and table football.

The solution to the different problems is to use the building as the central point for the site; this allows an explanation of the different floors but also tie the location map to the building, allowing the site to be very simple and self-explanatory.

Because of the vector graphic style employed for the aesthetics, we were able to code the whole site in Flash. This kept the file sizes very small and therefore made downloads very quick.
